RUN WATERBERG
IN AID OF THE MODIMOLLE-MOOKGOPONG MAYORAL CHARITY FUND

2021 EVENT CANCELLED
ANNOUNCEMENT from RUN WATERBERG organizers.
2020 has been a very busy and uncertain year for us and the event was cancelled due to lockdown regulations. We had so much hope for the start of the new year, but 2021 did not start any better for the event and tourism industries. We are now at a crucial point in time where we need to make a decision on whether the event can proceed or not.
We unfortunately decided to cancel the event for 2021. The costs involved in starting a new event are just too big in this current risky Covid-environment.
Entry Ninja will contact you for refund bank details and all entries will be refunded net of the Entry Ninja admin fee.

A 5km FUN Run will be hosted within the safe boundaries of Weesgerus holiday resort, where the vibrant finish venue, chill zone and entertainment will be.
A fun day for the whole family, a true celebration of running!

Charity Fund
The Modimolle Mookgopong Mayoral Charity fund raises funds through selected events and projects.
These funds in return are channeled into various community based projects to make a difference in the areas with the greatest need.
Training Program
Most typical training programs are 16 to 20 weeks long. During this time, you’ll typically run three to five times a week, increasing your mileage as you get nearer to race day. On the other days, you can cross train, do some low intensity exercise and, most importantly, rest your legs, allowing them to fully recover.
Travel and Accommodation
The natural splendour of the Waterberg, with more than 300 days of sunshine each year, fresh air and clean water, is a South African gem. A large variety of attractions, an abundance of wild life and birds, excellent accommodation and activities to suit everyone makes it a perfect destination.
